BIOGRAPHY

Tegan Forbes is an artist/educator. In 2011 she moved back to the West Coast from New York City where she was part of a collective of artists working with inner city youth designing and painting murals in urban areas. Tegan’s background is based in print media, she has taught at The Vancouver Island School of Art, The Alberta College of Art & Design and Concordia University as well as participated in projects at The Banff Centre in Alberta and The Bauhaus University in Weimar Germany. Tegan’s art practice is inspired by street art and it’s role in the community narrative.

Tegan is currently part of the teaching faculty at The Vancouver Island School of Fine Art as well teaching revolutionary art practices to grade 10 students at Ecole Brodeur via The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria's Artist in Residence Program for 2012.
